Cleared for the interesting work.
FlowPulseMindCore is a training gym where the programming is plotted carefully, the coaching is hands-on, and the work is brought in level every single session.

The story behind us
Marcus Hale opened FlowPulseMindCore in the spring of 2019 out of a converted loading bay on Caldwell Street. The space was 1,400 square feet, smelled faintly of motor oil for the first six months, and had exactly two s…
Read moreHow we run the place
- Programming that actually goes somewhere
- Every training block has a destination. We plot it eight weeks out, adjust for weather (life, basically), and land where we said we would. No random WODs, no guesswork.
- Coaching that stays in the room
- Marcus or one of the two other coaches is on the floor for every session. Not watching from a desk. Actually watching your hinge pattern and telling you what they see.
- Small groups by design
- We cap group sessions at eight people. That is not a marketing line. The whiteboard literally has eight slots and when they fill, they fill.
- A strength base under everything
- Cardio, mobility, conditioning. Fine. But we build it on a foundation of loaded movement. Deadlifts, carries, presses. The stuff that keeps you useful for decades.

A bit more
Today the gym runs out of a 2,800-square-foot space two blocks from the original loading bay. There are three coaches, a full rack setup, and a waiting list for the 6 am group slot on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Marcus still coaches four sessions a day himself and still writes every program by hand in the same kind of spiral notebook. The motor oil smell is gone. The fourteen original members are mostly still here.
I still write every program by hand. The notebook is non-negotiable.
